LeadFest | A festival of learning

We developed LeadFest with the Co-op as a festival of learning for leaders and colleagues. It focuses on developing core capabilities, specifically in the Co-op behaviours, to create a shift in leadership which helps in delivering the Co-op’s vision and strategy. LeadFest was designed for everyone across the Co-op as an opportunity for all colleagues to invest in their personal growth.

Designed as an annual event, themes are developed depending on the Co-op’s needs, with the latest focusing on how “creating a shift in our leadership starts with me”. Since 2017, RP GLOBAL has worked annually across the Co-op with all of the business areas, colleague networks and partners on the yearly design and deployment of LeadFest.

Delivering a truly digital experience

Historically, LeadFest was delivered in a face-to-face environment with digital support along with a “LeadFest on Tour” offer for those away from Head Office to be able to access the same interactive experiences. The challenges that were faced in 2020 saw us delivering LeadFest as an entirely digital and virtual experience. We still fully embraced a festival nature, working to create an exciting, celebratory and fun experience for all LeadFest “festival”-goers.

Key to making this a success was:

  • Creating a diverse mix of topics to interest everyone across the Co-op group - around 40 in total.

  • Ensuring relevance of content and clarity of purpose for each session

  • Aligning all session to leadership behaviours and core Co-op values.

  • Creating practicality tools to embed learning techniques.

  • Quality of facilitation was second to none.

  • Involving key specialists with unique areas of expertise.

  • Sharing latest thinking in innovative and powerful ways.

Extensive evaluation throughout the process confirmed the quality and impact of RP Global as the number one performing supplier and partner to the Co-op for LeadFest.
